  • NCAA Football - by Atari Boy

    Introduction:

Remember the 1979 Intellivision classic NFL Football? Well this is basically what you get in this game with slightly improved graphics and control. If this game came out 15 years ago it would have been great, except this is a 1994 Super Nes game!

    Graphics [3/10]:

Well i think they are terrible for a Snes game. They look more like a Nes or Colecovision game. The only good part about the graphics are the snow and rain covered playfields which look good and the zero slowdown.

    Music & Sound [4/10]:

The only music here is when your not playing the actual game, and the little thats there is very good. The sound effects are nothing but average but still are ok.

    Game Play [5/10]:

It stinks! I'm not a football expert or even a fan but the AI and control seem very unrealistic. I have owned this game for about 2 1/2 years and i still can't figure out a lot of the moves and controls. One bright spot for this game is the large number of plays available and the option to have 2-4 players with the seperate 4 Play adapter.

    Challenge & Replay [4/10]:

This game presents little to no challenge when you play against the computer. And except for the multiplayer option you will never touch this game within a month of buying it.

    Conclusion/Overall [4/10]:

One warning, i'm not a big fan of sports games. So if you are you just might love this game. But for everyone else stay alway from this game unless you can get it for less then about 5 bucks.
